WHEREAS, The City of Foley’s Graham Creek Nature Preserve (GCNP) requested permission and was approved to apply for the FY2020 Recreational Trails Program through Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) on Resolution 18-1342, and
WHEREAS, ADECA has awarded the City of Foley $198,915.20 to assist with the expansion of the ADA accessible Memorial Tree Trail boardwalk at Graham Creek Nature Preserve, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the $198,915.20 award from ADECA for the FY2020 Recreational Trails Grant Program.
SECTION 2: Approves to fund the required 20% match as required by the grant of $49,728.80.
SECTION 3: Approves to move project from the FY21 Plan into the FY20 budget and authorize to begin the Memorial Tree Trail boardwalk expansion project.
SECTION 4: Approves the following accounts to be amended accordingly: #400-5090-5106 (GCNP-Memorial Boardwalk Ph II) in the amount of $248,644.00 & account #400-5090-4202 (ADECA-GCNP Boardwalk Ph II Grant) in the amount of $198,915.20. The project number is R53.
SECTION 5: That the Mayor, Finance Director, or Environmental Manager of the City of Foley are hereby each authorized, directed, and empowered to sign reports, requests for payment, and other legal instruments associated with this grant agreement.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
