Shari Hamelin, Adrian Hill and Team Shug Alzheimer's Awareness Fundraiser Organization is requesting the use of the Heritage Park and Pavilion on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm for their Annual Alzheimer's Awareness & Fundraising Walk. They are planning to have tables and chairs set up under the gazebo along with a small sound system, coolers and decorations. They will provide food and drinks for the participants. All proceeds will go directly to the Alzheimer's Association 501 (c) (3). They are also requesting the cross streets from Heritage Park to Peachtree along the Rose Trail to be closed for the walk. They are requesting all fees to be waived.

WHEREAS, Shari Hamelin, Adrian Hill and Team Shug Alzheimer's Awareness Fundraiser Organization is requesting the use of the Heritage Park and Pavilion on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm for their Annual Alzheimer's Awareness & Fundraising Walk, and

WHEREAS, they are planning to have tables and chairs set up under the gazebo along with a small sound system, coolers and decorations. They will provide food and drinks for the participants, and

WHEREAS, All proceeds will go directly to the Alzheimer's Association 501 (c) (3), and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

SECTION 1: Approves waiving the fees for the use of Heritage Park and Pavilion as requested by Shari Hamelin, Adrian Hill and Team Shug Alzheimer's Awareness Fundraiser Organization on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm and the closing of Violet Avenue between Highway 59 and Chicago Street.

SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
