WHEREAS, The City of Foley applied for the FY26 Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program II (ATRIP II) and was awarded $2,000,000.00 in grant funding for intersection improvements at Miflin Road / SR 161; and
WHEREAS, Engineering received a professional services proposal from Thompson Engineering in the amount of $298,000.00 for preliminary engineering, environmental field services, final design, and plan production services needed for ALDOT to bid and construct the project; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approve the professional services proposal from Thompson Engineering in the amount of $298,000.00 which is included in the already appropriated $950,000.00 under Account no # 208-3000-5105.
SECTION 2: Council authorizes Mayor, Clerk, and other City officials to sign the contracts and other documents required to proceed
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
