A job analysis was conducted on the City Clerk position due to modifications in our pay plan with other positions and for the modulation of the salaries of other city clerks in the market. Recommendation is to upgrade the position from a G-220 to a G-240. A job analysis was conducted on the Administrative Assistant IV position in the administration division (clerk's office) due to increased responsibilities of a higher complexity. Recommendation is to upgrade the position to Assistant City Clerk and upgrade the position from a G-100 to a G-120. This will require a budget transfer from the Reserve for Salaries Account to the General Government personnel accounts.

WHEREAS, a job analysis was conducted on the City Clerk and Administrative Assistant IV positions in the Administration Division of General Government, and
WHEREAS, the job analyses resulted in the need to modify these two positions and amend the Pay Classification Plan.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Amends the Pay Classification Plan in the General Government Department by eliminating the position of City Clerk (Job Code 1010144 / Grade 220) and authorizing the position of City Clerk (Job Code 1010151 / Grade 240).
SECTION 2: Amends the Pay Classification Plan in the General Government Department by eliminating the position of Administrative Assistant IV (Job Code 1010124 / Grade 100) and authorizing the position of Assistant City Clerk (Job Code 1010152 / Grade 120).
SECTION 3: The Human Resources Division will provide the Financial Services Division with the required transfers from the Reserve for Salary Increases account.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
