WHEREAS, from time to time the City Council has to make adjustments to their calendar for because of holidays and conferences, and
WHEREAS, there are two holidays that fall on Work Session/Council meeting dates that need to be rescheduled and one conference (ALM) that conflict with Council meeting dates, and
WHEREAS, Monday, January 21, 2019 will be observed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and this Council meeting will need to be rescheduled to Tuesday, January 22, 2019, and
WHEREAS, Monday, September 2, 2019 will be observed for Labor Day and this Council meeting will need to be rescheduled to Tuesday, September 3, 2019, and
WHEREAS, the ALM Conference in Mobile is scheduled on May 4-7, 2019, which will interfere with the Monday, May 6, 2019 Council meeting and this Council meeting will need to be rescheduled for Thursday, May 9, 2019.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves rescheduling the Work Session and Council meeting dates with the same times (4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. respectively) due to holidays and a confence as follows:
Monday, January 21, 2019 is rescheduled for Tuesday, January 22, 2019 to accommodate Martin Luther King Day
Monday, May 6, 2019 is rescheduled for Thursday, May 9, 2019 to accommodate for the ALM Conference
Monday, September 2, 2019 is rescheduled for Tuesday, September 3, 2019 to accommodate Labor Day
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
