WHEREAS, OWA requests to host fireworks shows beginning at 8:50 pm. and ending by approximately 9:00 pm. on the following holidays:
Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday May 29, 2021; make-up day Monday, May 31, 2021
Fourth of July Weekened - Sunday, July 4, 2021; make-up day Monday, July 5, 2021
Labor Day - Saturday, September 4, 2021; make-up day Sunday September 5, 2021, and
WHEREAS, OWA requests permission to coordinate with the City of Foley Fire and Police Departments during these events as it pertains to general public safety and traffic routes.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves fireworks display to be held at the OWA grounds on the above listed dates and times.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
