WHEREAS, the City of Foley Desires to purchase real property consisting of two parcels for a combined 5 +/- acres that are adjacent to the City of Foley Horse Arena and Horticulture Department and further described as Tax Parcel ID. 05-54-05-21-2-000-008.002 PPIN# 72519; Tax Parcel ID. 05-54-05-21-0-000-012.000 PPIN# 72520 and Tax Parcel ID. 05-54-05-2-2-000-003.002 PPIN# 46677, and
WHEREAS, the purchase price for this property is in the amount of $266,967.00, and
WHEREAS the closing costs will be split between the City of Foley and the seller of the property.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of the real property mentioned above in the amount of $266,967.00 plus closing costs not to exceed $2,000 for a total of $268,967.00 and under account #400-5039-5100 Land Purchase - Adjacent to Horse Arena, and amends the budget accordingly.
SECTION 2: Authorizes the Mayor to sign the purchase agreement.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
