WHEREAS, Resolution 25-1309-RES authorized the application for funding assistance for certain improvements at the Foley Municipal Airport through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the State of Alabama, acting by and through the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), and,
WHEREAS, the improvements associated with this application are planned for the purpose of improving airport drainage and,
WHEREAS, the City of Foley has received grant offers from the FAA in the amount of $287,010 and from ALDOT in the amount of $7,553.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the FAA grant offer in the amount of $287,010 and the ALDOT grant offer in the amount of $7,553 and authorizes, directs and empowers the Mayor or the Airport Manager to enter into an agreement with both entities.
SECTION 2: Approves the following revenue account and amends the budget accordingly: 400-1070-4112 FAA Airport Drainage Improvements by an increase of $287,010 and 400-1070-4212 State Airport Drainage Improvements by an increase of $7,553.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
