WHEREAS, from time to time the City Council has to make adjustments to their calendar because of holidays and conferences, and
WHEREAS, there are three holidays that fall on Work Session/Council meeting dates that need to be rescheduled, and
WHEREAS, Monday, January 18, 2021 will be observed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and this Council meeting will need to be rescheduled to Tuesday, January 19, 2021, and
WHEREAS, Monday July 5, 2021 will be observed for July 4th Holiday and this Council meeting will be rescheduled to Tuesday, July 6, 2021, and
WHEREAS, Monday, September 6, 2021 will be observed for Labor Day and this Council meeting will need to be rescheduled to Tuesday, September 7, 2021, and
WHEREAS, the ALM Conference in Huntsville is scheduled on May 12-15, 2021 and will not interfere with any Council meetings.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves rescheduling the Work Session and Council meeting dates with the same times due to holidays as follows:
Monday, January 18, 2021 is rescheduled for Tuesday, January 19, 2021 to accommodate Martin Luther King Day
Monday, July 5, 2021 is rescheduled for Tuesday, July 6, 2021 to accommodate 4th of July
Monday, September 6, 2021 is rescheduled for Tuesday, September 7 2021 to accommodate Labor Day
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
