The City will be required to match 45% ($3364.22) which will be in kind salaries from Environmental Division. The funds hire temporary part time labor to perform the assessments over an 8 week period.

WHEREAS, the City of Foley received an EPA Appropriation Grant as part of a tri city agreement with Daphne and Fairhope in 2003, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley partnered with Riviera Utilities to use the funds from the grant in a stormwater assessment, wetlands treatment and water monitoring project in 2007, and
WHEREAS, there are $4107.78 in remaining funds from that grant that needs to be spent on a stormwater assessment project, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley's stormwater infrastructure can be assessed, documented and inspected with temporary part time labor over a period of eight weeks at a total project cost of $7472.00 to include $3364.22 in kind salaries, and
WHEREAS, the City must apply for the remaining appropriation grant funds through grants.gov immediately.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the application for the remaining EPA Appropriation Grant funds in the amount of $4107.78 and will match with $3364.22 (45%) of in kind salaries to perform a stormwater facilities assessment for the City. This also appropriates an additional $3444.00 in part time salaries under Account No. 01-615-1015 and $750.00 in small tools Account No. 01-615-5015, and $4,107.78 in revenue account 01-4923 EPA/Riviera-Waste Water Grant.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
