The Foley Fire Department is seeking to enter into a mutual aid agreement with Naval Air Station - Whiting Field and Naval Air Station - Pensacola for response to fires, hazardous materials incidents, or any other calls for assistance where either party could benefit from the personnel and resources of the other.  This agreement would also allow for firefighter training using personnel, facilities, and equipment from both parties.

WHEREAS, the Foley Fire Department and the Naval Air Station - Whiting Field and Naval Air Station - Pensacola through Fire & Emergency Services Gulf Coast       would mutually benefit from an agreement for providing firefighting assistance to each other when requested, and
WHEREAS, each party would also mutually benefit from an agreement for engaging in training opportunities when either party hosts fire protection training.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:      Approves a Mutual Aid Agreement between the Naval Air Station - Whiting Field and Naval Air Station - Pensacola and the City of Foley through its Fire Department for the provision of fire fighting assistance and authorizes the Mayor and Fire Chief to execute the Agreement with the Commanding Officer from each Naval Air Station.
SECTION 2:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
