Resolution Approving an Increase of Funds for Three (3) Sidewalk Projects.
Summary
In the capital projects for FY21 budget, $20,000 was approved under Account 400-3010-5101 for Sidewalk Improvements - Throughout the City. The Street Department has three (3) sidewalk areas in need of attention. However, the total cost for the three (3) is $26,779.40, which is $6779.40 over the budgeted amount. The Street Department is asking for an increase in budget funds of $6779.40 in Account 400-3010-5101 for Sidewalk Improvements - Throughout the City and the appropriation of the combined amount of $26,779.40 in funds to complete the sidewalks listed:
Dog Park (2100 SF): Estimated at $16,799.00
Briarwood (4 spots @ 712 SF): Estimated at $6400.88
Magnolia Plantation (448 SF): Estimated at $3579.52

WHEREAS, in the capital projects for FY21 budget, $20,000 was approved under Account 400-3010-5101 for Sidewalk Improvements - Throughout the City, and
WHEREAS, the Street Department has three (3) sidewalk areas in need of attention, and
WHEREAS, the total cost for the three (3) is $26,779.40, which is $6779.40 over the budgeted amount, and
WHEREAS, the Street Department is asking for an increase in budget funds of $6779.40 in Account 400-3010-5101 for Sidewalk Improvements - Throughout the City, and
WHEREAS, the Street Department is also asking for approval of the (3) sidewalk projects as listed below.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the increase of funds to Account 400-3010-5101 for Sidewalk Improvements - Throughout the City in the amount of $6,779.40.
SECTION 2: Approves sidewalk improvements totaling $26,779.40 as follows:
Dog Park (2100 SF): Estimated at $16,799.00
Briarwood (4 spots @ 712 SF): Estimated at $6,400.88
Magnolia Plantation (448 SF): Estimated at $3,579.52
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
