WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requested to memorialize the application for the Alabama Power's Good Roots Grant under 24-1455-RES, and
WHEREAS, Alabama Power has awarded the Nature Parks Department $1,000 to be used in plant material for the Permaculture Garden at Graham Creek Nature Preserve, and
WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requests to accept the grant and amend the budget accordingly.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the Alabama Power's Good Roots Grant to be used for plant material for the Permaculture Garden at Graham Creek Nature Preserve.
SECTION 2: Amends the budget accordingly: increase to account #100-5090-6161 (Habitat Management Expense) in the amount of $1,000 and increase to account #100-5090-4300 (GCNP - Grants) in the amount of $1,000.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
