     WHEREAS,  the Post Office is in need of roof repair due to multiple leaks, and

WHEREAS,  these leaks are causing major disruptions to the daily operation of the Post Office, and

WHEREAS, the Post Office is working with C&G Quality Enterprise to perform interior work,  which includes wrapping the duct work, scraping & painting and final touch will be to replace all of the ceiling tiles.  This project is scheduled to start on Monday, May 16, 2022, and

WHEREAS, Amerson Roofing has given us a quote for these repairs totaling $5,500 and can begin work immediately, and 

WHEREAS, Amerson Roofing is the company that Project Engineer Jeff Phillips has been working with on other City projects and he has been extremely pleased with their work, turnaround time and cost.

 

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

    

     SECTION 1:  Appropriates funds in the amount of $5,500 for the Post Office roof repair not to exceed $5,500.

 

     SECTION 2:  Accepts Amerson Roofing's quote in the amount of $5,500 for roof repairs under Account No. 100-1022-6011

 

    SECTION 3: Amends the budget accordingly.

  

     SECTION 4:  This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
