WHEREAS, Ingram, Amazon Capital Services, Penworthy, Overdrive, Gale/Cengage, Book Page, Capstone, Matthew Bender, Blackstone, Midwest Tape (Hoopla), Polk City Directories, and Data Axle are primary sources for books, audio/visual, and e-books purchased by the City of Foley Community Library, and
WHEREAS, according to the Code of Alabama 1975 Section 41-16-51 [a] [8] library book purchases are exempt from the bid law.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Declares Ingram, Amazon Capital Services, Penworthy, Overdrive, Gale/Cengage, Book Page, Capstone, Matthew Bender, Blackstone, Midwest Tape (Hoopla), Polk City Directories, and Data Axle as primary sources for books, audio/visual materials, and e-books under Account #100-5020-6169 (Books) and Account # 100-5020-6168 (Audio/Visual) as budged in the FY27 General Fund Budget.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
