Summary
To better serve the citizens of Foley , the Street Department requests to purchase a new 2019 John Deere 550K Crawler Dozer and 2019 Eager Beaver 12 HDB/PT Trailer from Beard Equipment Co. in the total amount of $149,275 under Sourcewell (NJPA) Cooperative Contract # 032515-JDC. The new dozer would replace a 2008 Komatsu Dozer #3011075 (Old # 07075), which is worn out and costing too much in repairs. The Street Department also requests that Dozer #3011075 (Old # 07075), be declared surplus and disposed of through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL.

WHEREAS, The Street Department needs to purchase a Bull Dozer/Trailer to better serve the citizens of Foley, and
WHEREAS, The total cost of a new 2019 John Deere 550K Crawler Dozer and 2019 Eager Beaver 12 HDB/PT Trailer from Beard Equipment Co. is $149,275 under Sourcewell (NJPA) Cooperative Contract # 032515-JDC and
WHEREAS, The dozer/trailer are included in the FY19 Budget under account# 100-3011-5100 for up to $150,000 and
WHEREAS, This new dozer is a replacement for Street Dozer #3011075 (Old # 07075), which is worn out and costing too much in repairs, and
WHEREAS, The Street Department requests the Street Dozer #3011075 (Old # 07075) be declared surplus and disposed of through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of a new 2019 John Deere 550K Crawler Dozer and 2019 Eager Beaver 12 HDB/PT Trailer from Beard Equipment Co. under Account# 100-3011-5100 in the total amount of $149,275 under Sourcewell (NJPA) Cooperative Contract # 032515-JDC, and
SECTION 2: Approves the declaration of Street Dozer #3011075 (Old # 07075), as surplus and approves the disposal of it through JM Wood Auction in Montgomery, AL.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
