A Resolution Approving Main Street Branding in Historic Downtown

 

Summary

LaDonna is requesting permission to begin a portion of a $67,000 Main Street Branding capital project to install pedestrian wayfinding signage in Historic Downtown along with the change out of City street signs with the Main Street branding. This project was not included in the capital projects fund, but was included in the general fund in an operational account. We are requesting to transfer the money out of operations to the capital projects fund.

     WHEREAS, There is a desire to add Main Street branding signs in the historic downtown area, and

     WHEREAS, There are budgeted funds for this project in the general fund that need to be transferred to the capital projects fund.

 

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

    

     SECTION 1:     Approves transferring $67,000 from 100-1012-6111 Contracts for Public Service to 400-5060-5102 Downtown Main Street Branding Project.

     SECTION 2:     Approves increasing the budget for 100-8000-8020 Transfer to Capital Project Funds and 400-1012-4810 Transfer from General Fund by $67,000.

     SECTION 3:     Approves City staff to begin a portion of the project that includes pedestrian way finding and other signage in the amount of $35,000, with future phases being presented to Council prior to beginning work.

     SECTION 4:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
