A Resolution Approving the City of Foley Fiber System Expansion to Connect with the Foley Sports Tourism Complex
Summary
The purpose of the project is to extend the City-owned fiber network to the Sports Tourism Complex. We currently pay for a second Uniti fiber circuit at that location, which is tied to our other main City circuit. This project will allow us to eliminate the second circuit and provide better bandwidth to the Sports Tourism Complex.

WHEREAS, the Foley Sports Tourism Complex will benefit from having a direct connection to the City network instead of being routed to the network by the Internet Service Provider, and
WHEREAS, this project is in the FY 19 Capital Projects Planning Document.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appropriates $27,733.40 for the Fiber System Expansion to the Foley Sports Tourism Complex, Account No. 400-1040-5100 A21 Event Ctr.
SECTION 2: Approves the expenditure for fiber system construction and installation of network equipment to establish connectivity at the buildings.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
