A Resolution to Approve Volkert, Inc. Supplemental Agreement No. 5 for Professional Services Related to Master Plan / ALP Update at the Foley Municipal Airport.

 

Summary

 The City of Foley entered into an agreement with Volkert, Inc. on February 3, 2020 to provide all necessary professional services associated with improvements to the Foley Municipal Airport. The Master Plan / Airport Layout Plan (ALP) for the airport was last updated in FY13. An update to this plan is needed to plan for future improvements for the Foley Municipal Airport. On RES 21-1370, Council granted permission to submit the application to FAA/ALDOT for this grant. The grant is expected to cover 95% of the project costs ($75,445.60) with the city to cover 5% of the project ($3,970.83)

     WHEREAS, the City of Foley entered into an agreement with Volkert, Inc. on February 3, 2020 to provide all necessary professional services associated with improvements to the Foley Municipal Airport, and,

     WHEREAS, the current Master Plan / Airport Layout Plan needs to be updated as the last update was completed in FY13.

     WHEREAS, Volkert has submitted Supplemental Agreement No. 5 in the amount of $79,416.43 for the total amount of engineering & special services related to the update of the Master Plan / ALP Update.

     WHEREAS, the estimated amount planned in FY22 for the design of this project is $39,356.83.

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

     SECTION 1:     Approves Volkert Inc.'s Supplemental Agreement No. 5 in the amount of $79,416.43.

     SECTION 2:     Appropriates $79,416.43 to account number 400-1070-5106 Master Plan / ALP Update with the expectation of approximately $39,356.83 being spent in FY22 and the balance to be spent in FY23.

     SECTION 3:     This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
