Resolution Amending Pay Classification Plan for Changes to Position Structure in Sports Tourism Department With Neutral Effect To Budget
Summary
The FY16 Budget approved certain new positions for the Sports Tourism Department. The positions have not yet been filled and the Director has a need to restructure those positions. This requires no change to the budget but does require changes to position titles, pay grades, and modification to the City's Pay Classification Plan as illustrated on the attached spreadsheet.

WHEREAS, The FY16 Budget approved certain new positions for the Sports Tourism Department. The positions have not yet been filled and the Director has a need to restructure the positions. The Human Resources Director has worked with the Sports Tourism Director to restructure the positions in a way that the restructuring will have a neutral effect on the budget and therefore no funds are needed or being requested in this resolution. The Human Resources Director has also worked with the City's contracted job analysists to reanalyze the desired restructured positions, obtain new pay grades, and write job descriptions. The positions are now ready to be adopted into to the City's Pay Classification Plan.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Authorizes approval of the attached document as an amendment to the City's Pay Classification Plan removing certain positions from the City's Pay Classification Plan as illustrated in Section 1 on the attached document and adding certain other positions to the City's Pay Classification Plan as illustrated in Section 2 on the attached document.
SECTION 2: Also authorizes re-titling Job Code 1010 in the City's Pay Classification Plan from "Executive Director-Multi-Use Community Sports Facility" to "Executive Director of Sports Tourism". with the Job Code and all other aspects of the position remaining the same.
SECTION 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
