Title

A Resolution to Extend the Performance Contract with the Dream Center to Better Align with the City's Fiscal Year

Summary

Under 24-1159-RES, the City of Foley and the Dream Center agreed to a two year partnership for drug counseling for children and teenagers utilizing the City's opioid funding. The performance contract that was established began in May of 2024 and allowed certain monthly expenses for the Dream Center to be reimbursed up to a maximum of $25,000 per year. Both the City of Foley and the Dream Center desire to continue this partnership through the contract which currently ends in April of 2026 and extend the contract by five additional months to better align with the City's fiscal year to end September 30, 2026. By extending the contract five months, we would need to increase the performance contract by $10,500 ($25,000 / 12 = $2,083.33 x 5 = 10,416.67) to cover the additional 5 months of service. No budget adjustment is necessary as this can be accomplished during the FY26 budget cycle.
