WHEREAS, Graham Creek Nature Preserve requests to memorialize the grant application submitted to the FY2023 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council (Gulf Coast RC&D) Grant, and
WHEREAS, Graham Creek Nature Preserve has been awarded a $7,450 grant with no matching funds required, and
WHEREAS, these funds will be used to create Beehives and Pollinator Gardens at Graham Creek, and
WHEREAS, Graham Creek requests to amend the following accounts: 100-2040-6190 (Gulf Coast Resource Conservation Grant Expense) by $7,450 and 100-2040-4111 (Gulf Coast Resource Conservation Grant) for $7,450.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the FY2023 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council Grant for $7,450.
SECTION 2: Approves to amend the budget as follows: 100-2040-6190 (Gulf Coast Resource Conservation Grant Expense) by $7,450 and 100-2040-4111 (Gulf Coast Resource Conservation Grant) for $7,450.
SECTION 3: Council authorizes the Mayor and other City officials to execute the grant agreement and other documents as required for the acceptance of the grant.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
