Governor Bentley signed Acts 2013-230, 2013-231 and 2013-232 into law on May 13, 2013.The City needs to accept the annexation and submit it to the U.S. Department of Justice for Pre-clearance.
NOTE: The attached maps are the ones submitted to the Judge of Probate's Office prior to submission to the Legislature. During the submission process a few properties were pulled out of the Hwy. 98 annexation so the map and the actual Act will not match due to the exclusions.

WHEREAS, land owners wished to have their property annexed inside the City of Foley's corporate limits, and
WHEREAS, it was wise, expedient and economical for the annexation to be accomplished by the passage of a local law, and
WHEREAS, the City sought annexations by legislative acts, passed both houses and were signed by Governor Robert Bentley as follows:
Act No. 2013-230 SB357 Hwy. 98
Act No. 2013-231 SB358 Springdale
Act No. 2013-232 SB359 Willow Lakes Subdivision
WHEREAS, the Acts becomes effective on the first day of the third month following its passage and approval by the Governonr, or its otherwise becoming law.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Acts No. 2013-230, 2013-231 and 2013-232 annexing the properties by Legislative Acts are hereby formally accepted.
SECTION 2: Acknowledges City services will be added to these areas effective the first day of August 2013, and the City's records shall indicate infrastructure as being maintained by the City as set forth in the Acts.
