Summary
Leisure Services requests council approval to start the School Partnership capital project at the Foley High School. The project will initially be focused on lighting the practice field and then installing bleachers. The bleachers will require a concrete pad and sidewalk connectivity for ADA compliance to the bleachers. We are requesting permission to bid the installation of lighting, concrete and bleachers and plan to purchase the equipment from purchasing cooperative agreements. The lighting would be Sourcewell Contract #: 041123 and the bleachers would be TIPS 20080101. This resolution requests the appropriation of $750,000 to account 400-5030-6000 School Partnership Facilities Upgrade.

WHEREAS, Leisure Services planned for $750,000 for the School Partnership Facilities Upgrade, and
WHEREAS, the City expects to purchase MUSCO lighting and bleachers via purchasing cooperative agreements, and
WHEREAS, the City will need to bid the installation work for the lighting, bleachers and concrete work for the project,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appropriates $750,000 to account 400-5030-6000 for a School Partnership Facilities Upgrade for lighting and bleachers;
SECTION 2: Approves permission to purchase MUSCO lighting via Sourcewell Contract #041123 and bleachers via TIPS contract 20080101;
SECTION 3: Approves permission to go to bid for the installation of lighting, bleachers, and sidewalks at the practice fields and award any services related in the installation of the lighting, concrete work, and bleachers so long as the total project cost for account 400-5030-6000 does not exceed $750,000.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
