A Resolution Approving the Baldwin County Commission Funding for the James Road Extension Project
Summary
Previously under 25-1203-RES, Council approved the intergovernmental service agreement with Baldwin County Commission for the James Road extension project, however, no accounts were amended along with that resolution. The expenses are currently budgeted under 400-3010-5100 CR10, however, the budget need to be transferred to 400-3020-5180. The County has agreed to pay for 50% of the James Road extension as long as the total project costs do not exceed $4,200,000 ($2,100,000 City portion & $2,100,000 County portion). The City would also like to amend the budget to account for the $2,100,000.00 in County reimbursement for this project under 400-3020-4300.

WHEREAS, previously under 25-1203-RES, Council approved the intergovernmental service agreement with Baldwin County Commission for the James Road extension project, however, no accounts were amended along with that resolution, and
WHEREAS, the expenses are currently budgeted under 400-3010-5100 CR10, however, the budget & expenses need to be transferred to 400-3020-5180, and
WHEREAS, the County has agreed to pay for 50% of the James Road extension as long as the total project costs do not exceed $4,200,000 ($2,100,000 City portion & $2,100,000 County portion), and
WHEREAS, the City would also like to amend the budget to account for the $2,100,000.00 in County reimbursement for this project under 400-3020-4300.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts the Baldwin County Commission funding for 50% of the total costs of the James Road extension project so long as the total project costs do not exceed $4,200,000.
SECTION 2: Amends the budget accordingly: transfers the $200,000 budgeted under 400-3010-5100 CR10 City Constructed Roads - James Road to 400-3020-5180 James Road Extension and increases 400-3020-4300 County Project Funding by $2,100,000.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
