A Resolution Approving the Site Survey and Design Work for a New Aquatics Center.
Summary
We would like to move forward with the planned aquatics center design. The planned amount is $250,000 for account #400-5030-5109 Aquatics Center to design and provide a site survey for the facility. We are requesting moving forward with Sawgrass Consulting for the site survey. McKee & Associates Architects will provide the architecture work for the new facility. They have done great work for us in the past and have designed similar throughout the state.

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation is requesting design and survey for the replacement of the pool at Max Griffin Park,
WHEREAS, Sawgrass Consulting has provided a proposal for a site survey; and
WHEREAS, McKee & Associates Architects, Inc has provided a proposal for the architecture work; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of should not exceed $250,000 for account #400-5030-5109 Aquatics Center .
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves moving forward with the capital project Aquatics Center; and
SECTION 2: Approves the mayor to sign the professional agreement for a site survey with Sawgrass Consulting;
SECTION 3: Approves the mayor to sign the owner and architect agreement with McKee & Associates Architects, Inc;
SECTION 4: Approves the appropriation and expenditure of funds in the amount of $250,000 for the design work under account #400-5030-5109 Aquatics Center;
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
