WHEREAS, the City of Foley is hosting the Design Alabama DesignPlace Program in February, 2023, and
WHEREAS, professional associated with Design Alabama visit communities selected to participate in the DesignPlace Program to provide design, planning and community identity assistance, and
WHEREAS, the Design Alabama design professionals offer their time and expertise at no additional cost to the community, and
WHEREAS, the program fee is $7500.00 and travel related costs of $5,200.00 for hotel and meals for attendees who will travel to Foley to facilitate the program is estimated to be approximately $10,993.06.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the budget increase in an amount not to exceed $11,500.00 for the costs of hosting the Design Alabama Project program and hotel accommodations in Account No. 100-2031-6020 Consulting/Professional-Planning & Zoning.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
