WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requested permission to apply for the FY2026 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council (Gulf Coast RC&D) Grant under 25-1168-RES, and
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded the grant in the amount of $15,000 to move forward with the purchase of new trail and interpretive signage at Graham Creek Nature Preserve, and
WHEREAS, due to the limited time frame to spend the funding by August 1st, the Nature Parks Department has accepted the grant funds, and
WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requests to memorialize the acceptance of the funds and amends the budget accordingly: $15,000 in 100-5090-4112 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation Grant and $15,000 in 100-5090-6163 (Signs).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Memorializes the acceptance of the FY2026 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council Grant for $15,000.
SECTION 2: Amends the budget accordingly: $15,000 in 100-5090-4112 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation Grant and $15,000 in 100-5090-6163 (Signs).
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
