WHEREAS, The Library desires to create a full-time, permanent, Stacks Maintenance Position which has been noted, but not budgeted, in the last several fiscal year budgets, and
WHEREAS, The Library has money to fund this position for the last five pay periods of the current fiscal year at a cost of approximately $9,000 (annual cost of $44,396 including benefits).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the creation of a full-time, regular, Stacks Maintenance position at a Grade 8 ($29,597 annually), FLSA non-exempt, for pay period beginning July 10, 2018.
SECTION 2: Approves a transfer of funds in the total amount of $4,500 from account #100-614-5100 (Books) and $4,376 from account #100-614-1015 (part-time salaries) and $5,692 to account #100-614-1010 (salaries); $435 to account #100-614-1030 (Payroll Taxes); $211 to account #100-614-1050 (Retirement); $2,285 to account #100-660-1014 (health insurance); $62 to account #100-614-1041 (life/disablity); and $191 to account #100-614-1160 (Workers Comp) for funding the new position of Stacks Maintenance for five pay periods beginning July 10, 2018.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
