A Resolution to Enter into an Agreement with Adams Stewart Architects, LLC for Design Services Related to a Prefabricated Structure for the City of Foley
Summary
The City of Foley is evaluating the installation of a kennel facility to accommodate stray or missing animals. A prefabricated kennel structure has been identified that should meet the City's needs and staff's research has discovered that other local governments with similar needs have utilized prefabricated kennel structures. Though the kennel structure itself is prefabricated, site preparation, parking spaces, a concrete mounting pad, and utility connections shall all be accomplished by the City of Foley in order to receive, place, and mount the prefabricated kennel. Architectural services are required for the design of the concrete mounting pad as well as the various utility connections so that the building code compliance is attained when the kennel facility is installed. The staff of the City of Foley recommends to Council to accept a Limited Professional Services Proposal for design services with Adam Stewart Architects, LLC, as well as appropriating $30,000 for the cost of design services

WHEREAS, the City of Foley (city) wishes to install a structure that will increase its capacity to accommodate stray or missing animals; and
WHEREAS, the city has identified a prefabricated kennel structure that should meet the city's needs; however, various site improvements are required to accommodate the prefabricated kennel structure, for which design services are required; and
WHEREAS, the staff of The City of Foley recommends to Council to accept a Limited Professional Services Proposal with Adams Stewart Architects, LLC in the amount of $30,000 for design services related to installation of prefabricated kennel facitlity
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accept a Limited Professional Services Proposal for design services with Adams Stewart Architects, LLC, as well as appropriate $30,000 for the cost of the design services to Account No #400-2010-5108
SECTION 2: Council authorizes Mayor, Clerk, and other City officials to sign the Limited Professional Services Proposal and other documents required to proceed
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
