WHEREAS, on July 17, 2017 Council adopted Ordinance 17-2032, which states in Section 5, Monthly charges for various types and frequency of waste collections shall be set by the City, and may be amended by the City as needed by resolution and Commercial dumpster customers shall be charged a fee through a monthly invoice from Foley City Hall and;
WHEREAS, the City of Foley has not increased commercial sanitation rates for customers in thirty (30) years and;
WHEREAS, the City of Foley deems it necessary to modify fees in order to attract the best option for commercial sanitation needs, while also keeping costs significantly low for our customers and;
WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary to increase commercial sanitation collection fees as stated in attached Addendum 1 (attached to this Resolution), per month.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the modification of commercial sanitation fees within the City of Foley, unless and until amended, and shall be as stated as in Addendum 1 (attached to this Resolution) and effective on October 1, 2021 with invoices reflecting the new rates on November 1, 2021.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
