During the Organizational Council Meeting on November 2, 2020, Council adopted Resolution 20-1302 which established the rules and procedures for the City Council meetings of the City of Foley, Alabama. Section 2 of Resolution 20-1302 states "Regular meetings of the council shall be held on the following dates: The first and third Monday of each month except on holidays as recognized and/or designated by the Council of Foley, Alabama beginning at 5:30 p.m. Work Sessions shall be held the same days as the Council meetings beginning at 4:00 p.m. except on holidays as recognized and/or designated by the Council of Foley, Alabama and unless modified as needed by the Council." During the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020, Council modified the meetings and combined the Work Session and Council Meetings to begin at 4:00pm. Council desires to continue the modified Council Meeting schedule.

WHEREAS, Section 2 of Resolution 20-1002 "Regular meetings of the council shall be held on the following dates: The first and third Monday of each month except on holidays as recognized and/or designated by the Council of Foley, Alabama beginning at 5:30 p.m. Work Sessions shall be held the same days as the Council meetings beginning at 4:00 p.m. except on holidays as recognized and/or designated by the Council of Foley, Alabama and unless modified as needed by the Council", and
WHEREAS, Council modified the meetings and combined the Work Session and Council Meetings to begin at 4:00pm, and
WHEREAS, Council desires to continue the modified Council Meeting schedule. Therefore, Resolution 20-1302 must be amended.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Amends Section 2. of Resolution 20-1302 to officially change the meetings of the City of Foley City Council to combine the Work Session and Council Meetings into one meeting, to be held on the first and third Monday of each month except on holidays as recognized and/or designated by the Council of Foley, Alabama beginning at 4:00 p.m. unless modified as needed by the Council.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
