WHEREAS, The City of Foley requested Council approval to begin negotiations with EnCompass 360 on RES 21-1155, and
WHEREAS, a contract has been reviewed and approved by City Attorney Casey Pipes and City of Foley is ready to move forward, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley recommends to Council to enter into the contract for HMGP application and project administration with EnCompass 360 for the purpose of constructing a First Responder Safe Room, and
WHEREAS, total price of EnCompass contract is $260,000 with Phase 1 being $60,000 (75% grant funded $45,000 & 25% City funded $15,000) & if the grant is awarded, Phase 2 being $200,000 with (75% grant funded $150,000 and 25% being City funded $50,000).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves EnCompass 360's contract for HMGP application and project administration upon legal review.
SECTION 2: Approves budget amendment of $260,000 to account number 400-9200-5100 (HMGP-Safe Room).
SECTION 3: Council authorizes Mayor, Clerk and other City officials to sign the contracts and other documents required to proceed upon legal review.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
