WHEREAS, on July 11, 2023, the Judge of Probate entered a Decree Setting Election for the Mills Annexation Referendum to be held on August 22, 2023, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley is responsible for the costs incurred for the referendum including but limited to election official salaries, election supplies and meals for the poll workers, and
WHEREAS, this is an unplanned election and funds need to be appropriated to the Annexation Expense Account.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Appropriates funds in the amount of $15,000.00 to Account No. 100-1011-6126 Annexation Expenses to cover the costs associated with Mills Community Referendum Annexation Election.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
