WHEREAS, Sergeant James A. Nelson is retiring after 25 years of service in law enforcement with the Foley Police Department and
WHEREAS, Foley Police Department is requesting the City to declare surplus his badge and (2) service weapons to allow him to receive that upon his retirement.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Declares Sergeant James A. Nelson's badge and (2) service weapons as surplus and authorizes these items to be given to Sergeant James. A Nelson upon his retirement from the City of Foley.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
