WHEREAS, Resolution 26-1135 approved the request to solicit bids, award the bid within budget, and appropriate funds for the Mills Community Pedestrian Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, open bids were held with Trenchline Civil being the lowest and most responsible bid; and
WHEREAS, the FY26 capital budget allocated $1,200,000 for the Mills Community Pedestrian Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, Trenchline Civil's lowest most responsible bid was above the previously approved and appropriated budget; and
WHEREAS, the City is requesting to amend the budget and award the bid to Trenchline Civil
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Award the bid to Trenchline Civil for the Mills Community Pedestrian Improvements Project;
SECTION 2: Amend the budget with an increase of $500,000 to Account No #400-3020-5174 for a total project of $1,700,000 for the Mills Community Pedestrian Path Impv Project.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
