A Resolution to Accept the FY25 Alabama Legislature Appropriated Funds
Summary
The City of Foley requested an FY25 Alabama Legislature Funding Appropriation. An appropriation of $500,000 was granted and has been passed through the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) division. The intent of this appropriation is for the ongoing economic development project on Foley Beach Express. The City of Foley requests Council permission to accept the $500,000 award through ADECA and amend the budget accordingly. The City of Foley would like to thank Senator Albritton for his support for our local community project.

WHEREAS, the City of Foley requested an FY25 Alabama Legislature Funding Appropriation, and an appropriation of $500,000 was granted and has been passed through the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) division, and
WHEREAS, the intent of this appropriation is for the ongoing economic development project on Foley Beach Express, and
WHEREAS, City of Foley requests Council permission to accept the $500,000 award through ADECA and amend the budget accordingly, and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley would like to thank Senator Albritton for his support for our local community project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Accepts of the award from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) division for the ongoing economic development project in the amount of $500,000.
SECTION 2: Approves to amend the budget accordingly: $500,000 as grant revenue, under account #100-6010-4200 ADECA S Baldwin Workforce Authority Grant and $500,000 as grant expense, under account 100-6010-6025 ADECA S Baldwin Workforce Authority Expense.
SECTION 3: Authorizes the Mayor, Clerk, and other City officials to sign the grant agreements, sub-recipient agreements, contracts and other documentation as required.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
