WHEREAS, bids for the Mel Roberts Park Pavilion project were opened on January 13, 2021 with one bid received (GreenCo - $205,150.00), and
WHEREAS, Engineering is recommending to Council to move forward with the pavilion project by awarding the bid to GreenCo, and
WHEREAS, if Council approves the action, a $46,550.00 budget increase would be required, which would contain a 10% contingency.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Council accepts the GreenCo proposal of $205,150 for the Mel Roberts Park Pavilion Project.
SECTION 2: Council approves a $46,550 budget amendment to account 400-5010-5100 - R55 CONST.
SECTION 3: Council authorizes Mayor and other City officials to sign the contracts and other documents required to proceed with the project.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
