Summary
To better serve the citizens of Foley , the Residential Sanitation Department requests to purchase a 2023 ROTOPAC 520 Truck Chassis for $141,342.00 from Performance Peterbilt of Hattiesburg, LLC through Sourcewell Contract# 060920-PMC AND a 2023 New Way 40 yd Eject Body from Sansom Equipment Company for $135,111.00 through Sourcewll (NJPA) #091219-NWY . The total cost of the completed Recycle Truck is 276,543.00. This is an addition to our fleet and was included in the FY22 Budget under account# 601-4011-5100 for $277,000.00 as Recycle Truck.
As the City continues to grow, new trucks are needed to keep up with the workload that also increases with the growth.

WHEREAS, The City continues to grow, and new trucks are needed to keep up with the workload that also increases with the growth. AND
WHEREAS, A new recycle truck is an addition to the fleet and was budgeted in FY22 as Recycle Truck for RESIDENTIAL SANITATION (4011) under Account # 601-4011-5100, AND
WHEREAS, The Residential Sanitation Department is requesting approval to purchase a 2023 ROTOPAC 520 Truck Chassis for $141,342.00 from Performance Peterbilt of Hattiesburg, LLC through Sourcewell Contract# 060920-PMC AND a 2023 New Way 40 yd Eject Body from Sansom Equipment Company for $135,111.00 through Sourcewll (NJPA) #091219-NWY, for the Total Cost of the completed Recycle Truck of $276,543.00 under the RESIDENTIAL SANITATION (4011) under Account # 601-4011-5100.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase a 2023 ROTOPAC 520 Truck Chassis for $141,342.00 from Performance Peterbilt of Hattiesburg, LLC through Sourcewell Contract# 060920-PMC AND a 2023 New Way 40 yd Eject Body from Sansom Equipment Company for $135,111.00 through Sourcewll (NJPA) #091219-NWY, for the Total Cost of $276,543.00 for the completed Recycle Truck under the RESIDENTIAL SANITATION (4011) Account # 601-4011-5100, as budgeted in FY22.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
