WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department requests permission to apply for the FY2027 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council (Gulf Coast RC&D) Grant, and
WHEREAS, the grant will be accepting applications through June 30th, and
WHEREAS, the Nature Parks Department will be requesting $15,000 to go toward the purchase of interpretive signage and additional wetland mats at the Andrew James Wetland Reserve, and
WHEREAS, there are no matching funds required by the grant.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the Nature Parks Department to apply for the FY2027 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council Grant to be used toward the purchase of interpretive signage and additional wetland mats at the Andrew James Wetland Reserve.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
