WHEREAS, Resolution # 13-0307 approved an application for DOT's TIGER Discretionary Grants for National Infrastructure Investments to expand walking and bike paths throughout the city to achieve better connectivity for residents and visitors, and
WHEREAS, the City's application for Transportation Regional Infrastructure Pedestrian System (TRIPS) was approved for $4,728,507.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1:       Accepts $4,728,507.00 in TIGER funding offered by DOT and approves the City's match of $1,605,876.00 for a total estimated project cost of $6,334,383.00.
SECTION 2:      Accepts Volkert's Task Agreement # 14 for the Transportation Regional Infrastructure Pedestrian System (TRIPS) TIGER Grant which is included in the total estimated project cost under the "Responsible Charge" cost portion of the City's match.
SECTION 3:      Accepts Gray Matter Consulting's proposal to administer the Department of Transportation's (DOT) TIGER discretionary grant program awarded to the City for FY2013 for a fee of $4,000 per month for a period of two years to be billed monthly which is included in the total estimated project cost under the "Responsible Charge" cost portion of the City's match.
SECTION 4:        Approves the addition of a new City Fund for the duration of the construction and compliance periods of the grant.
SECTION 5:      This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
