WHEREAS, due to current proposed annexations there is a need to purchase additional trash and recycle containers, and
WHEREAS, the City applied for a recycle grant to assist with the cost of the purchase of recycling containers in the amount of $35,000 but did not receive it, and
WHEREAS, the total cost for the containers will be approximately $65,000, and budget adjustments could be made to accommodate the partial purchase but there will be a shortfall of approximately $45,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Reallocates $14,000 left over from the $242,000 Sanitation Capital Purchase Account No. 01-610-7010 25 Yard Automated Garbage Truck to fund trash/recycle containers under Account No. 01-610-5010, Small Tools.
SECTION 2: Reallocates $795 left over from the $9,500 Gator from Capital Purchase Account No. 01-610-7010, to trash/recycle containers under Small Tools Account No. 01-610-5010.
SECTION 3: Appropriates up to $45,000 to Small Tools Account No. 01-610-5010 for Trash/recycle containers.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
