WHEREAS, the City entered into an Airport Franchise and License Agreement with Lightning Aviation to provide Fixed Base Operator (FBO) services at the Foley Municipal Airport, and,
WHEREAS, in the past, the term of this agreement has been renewed in five year increments with the option to renew for five additional years, and,
WHEREAS, it is desired to extend the length of the agreement to a 10 year term with the option to renew for one additional ten year period.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves and authorizes the Mayor to sign Amendment 2 of the Airport Franchise and License Agreement extending the expiration date to September 30, 2034 with an option to renew for one additional ten year term.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
