WHEREAS, the light poles at the Foley Soccer Complex were damaged during Hurricane Sally, and
WHEREAS, bids for the Foley Soccer Complex Light Repair project were opened on November 19, 2020, and
WHEREAS, there were three bidders Moody’s Electric ($64,677.00), Bill Smith ($85,689.00) and Harris Contracting (bid withdrawn), and
WHEREAS, insurance will cover 100% of the repair costs, and
WHEREAS, the project is already underway, but the budget amendments need to be captured to clean up the accounting side of the project, and
WHEREAS, the following budget amendment is requested: $64,677 as total project estimate, under account #100-9200-5101 S03.1 G 2 (Soccer Complex Light Repairs) and $64,677 as insurance revenue in 100-9200-4703.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Council approves the Moody’s Electric proposal of $64,677 for the Foley Soccer Complex Light Repairs.
SECTION 2: Council approves budget adjustments will be made to account $64,677 as total project estimate, under account #100-9200-5101 S03.1 G 2 (Soccer Complex Light Repairs) and $64,677 as insurance revenue in 100-9200-4703.
SECTION 3: Council authorizes Mayor, Clerk, Attorney, and other City officials to sign the contracts and other documents as required.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
