WHEREAS, a committee was formed from City staff and departments were tasked with coming up with ideas on how the City of Foley could celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States; and
WHEREAS, a list of potential events has been drafted for review and attached; and
WHEREAS, the City of Foley staff requests to move forward with the planning of these events, making the purchases, and amends the budget accordingly: $37,400 to 100-5060-6181 America250 Events Expense.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the list of ideas submitted by staff and authorizes staff to proceed with the events / purchases.
SECTION 2: Amends the budget accordingly $37,400 to 100-5060-6181 America250 Events Expense.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
