WHEREAS, Beavers that are building dams are creating drainage issues in several locations within the city, and
WHEREAS, the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspections Services-Wildlife Services will provide management services and control the beavers, and
WHEREAS, we currently have a service agreement with USDA's Cooperative Services and would like to continue their services with a 5 year contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the execution of the contract agreement for wildlife damage management and control services with the USDA-APHIS-Wildlife Services from March 16, 2026 to March 15, 2031 and authorizes the City Engineer to execute the agreeement.
SECTION 2: Approves funding in the amount of $5,000 for wildlife damage management and control services under Account No #100-3020-6012.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
