A Resolution Memorializing Entering into a School Resource Officer Reimbursement Agreement with Baldwin County Commission and Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Summary

Baldwin County Commission in connection with Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office have issued a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to the City of Foley for a reimbursement program for school resource officers. Baldwin County Commission will reimburse the City of Foley up to $50,000 per school resource officer per school year for Foley Elementary School, Florence B Mathis Elementary School, Foley Middle School, and Foley High School for a maximum reimbursement amount of $200,000. This agreement is valid from August 12, 2020 - August 12, 2022. The payroll expenses will be recorded in various payroll accounts. The reimbursement revenue will be recorded in 100-2010-4300 BCC/BOE - School Resource Officer Contribution revenue account. The agreement was received and executed in September, but it was not taken for Council approval.

     WHEREAS, Baldwin County Commission in connection with Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office have issued a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to the City of Foley for a reimbursement program for school resource officers, and

     NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:

 

     SECTION 1: Council memorializes the School Resource Officer Reimbursement Agreement with Baldwin County Commission / Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

 

     SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
