The City of Foley Public Library would like to enhance the accessibility of the patron computer work stations in the Children's section by removing a round table that has served as the work station and replacing it with a built-in station that will house four computers including a physically challenged station(the four patron computers are already in place.) In addition, the project will add shelving to the reverse side of the computer work stations, in turn, adding more shelving space for future children's books. Lastly, this project will open up space int he Children's section which will be occupied by a new Autism section. This project will cost $2,360.00 which is available in the Foley Library checkbook as surplus cash. The Library would like to have Hallex Construction perform the work based on the fact that they have completed similar projects for the Children's section in the past. As such they would be able to maintain the continuity of style and color within the section. If approved Hallex Construction could begin work imediately aiming for a completion date of mid August.
In order to complete the project the Foley Library would like to move $2,500.00 from the checkbook Audio/Visual line item (600-5025) to the checkbook Small Tools line item (600-5010). The Library Advisory Board has issued its approval of the project and the movement of the funds to accomplish this project.

WHEREAS, the City of Foley Public Library would like to add a computer work station to the Children's section in order to enhance patron accessibility and to provide additional space for a new Autism section, and
WHEREAS, project is to be completed by Hallex Construction at a cost of $2,360.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the completion of the Foley Public Library Computer Work Station Addition project through Hallex Construction at a cost of $2,360.00
SECTION 2: Approves the transfer of budget funds in the amount of $2,500.00 from account 04-600-5020 (Audio/Visual) to account 04-600-5010 (Small Tools).
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
