Darrell Russell, Public Works Superintendent, requests permission to purchase a 2017 Dodge D1500 from Tallasee Automotive, Inc. for $23,753.00 through State of Alabama - Division of Purchasing, Ref. Vehicle Contract #T191/#4013404. It is budgeted for $26,000.00 under Acct# 01-621-7010. This is a replacement for the 2001 Dodge 1500. The new truck would greatly increase our ability to quickly reach and handle vehicle/equipment problems that occur out on our City streets.

WHEREAS, A new 2017 Dodge D1500 would replace our current 2001 Dodge 1500 would greatly increase our ability to quickly reach and handle vehicle/equipment problems that occur out on our City streets, and
WHEREAS, a new truck is budgeted for $26,000.00 under Acct# 01-621-7010.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves the purchase of a new 2017 Dodge D1500 from Tallasee Automotive, Inc. for $23,753.00 through State of Alabama - Division of Purchasing, Ref. Vehicle Contract #T191/#4013404, and is budgeted for $26,000.00 under Acct# 01-621-7010.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
