Summary
Graham Creek Nature Preserve has been invited to submit a project for the FY23 Community Forest and Open Space Conservation Program's request for applications. The application requested a $600,000 grant along with a $600,000 match to be used in conjunction with GOMESA & RESTORE funding for land acquisition along the southeast portion of the preserve along Russian Road. The City's project application has been submitted to the State Forester and he has submitted our application prior to the April 14, 2023 deadline.

WHEREAS, Graham Creek Nature Preserve has been invited to submit a project for the FY23 Community Forest and Open Space Conservation Program's request for applications, and
WHEREAS, the application requested a $600,000 grant along with a $600,000 match to be used in conjunction with GOMESA & RESTORE funding for land acquisition along the southeast portion of the preserve along Russian Road, and
WHEREAS, the City's project application has been submitted to the State Forester and he has submitted our application prior to the April 14, 2023 deadline.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Memorializes the project submission to the Community Forest and Open Space Conservation Program.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
